Classic Tee = Under Tee

During my 15 minute commute to work this morning I was tuned in to my usual Tuesday morning radio show on 101.9. Fashion Expert, Alicia Richmond, who frequents the show was today's guest. I'm pretty sure the topic was supposed to be about who can wear this season's shoe trend the gladiator sandal and somehow flipped onto the dreaded: Classic Cap Sleeve Tee worn ALONE...duh duh duh! This has got to be one of the biggest fashion "no no's" of ALL time! Listen to me, Alicia Richmond, and Michelle (designer for LAYERS): "This tee was NOT designed to be worn alone."



When do you wear the Classic Tee?

If you are the designer for LAYERS, EVERYDAY! No joke, LAYERS Designer, Michelle Boley wears a Tan Classic EVERYDAY! I've known her for 3 years and if she was put on trial for not wearing a classic tee, I would testify on her behalf that she wears a tan classic EVERY day, as an undershirt of course.

What did Michelle design the Classic Tee for?

To hide the mommy pooch, cover the "girls" up, mask the muffin top, block the bend over bootycrack, and most important: allowing comfort & versatility to be added to today's trends and your wardrobe.

There are few and far between who can work the Classic Tee all alone and even then, no one wants to see your bra lines except maybe your sig. other.

I'm begging you, don't fall victim to the Classic Tee cliche.

Sometimes Less Isn't Always More

Ahhh...spring! This time of year makes me think of my next vacation I'll be taking, trips that I've gone on in the past, and wondering when this bi-polar weather is going to end!! When getting ready for a little trip, the first thing I stress out about (besides making sure I don't miss my flight) is what to wear. What goes in my suitcase, depends not only where I'm going, but who I'm going with. When I'm going somewhere with my sisters, the stress levels quadruple. My sisters are some pretty snazzy gals (not to mention their wardrobes aren't too shabby either). So...this reminds me of a girls trip to Vegas with my sisters and Mom. Vegas is the city of sin and with that, you see A LOT of people wearing some pretty sinful outfits. Most girls are barely dressed and there's a lot of men who sure aren't shy. As we would walk down the strip or through the casinos, you would definitely notice guys heads turn to those who were scantilly clad. But I also noticed that my sisters who were dressed very stylish, yet covered, got more double takes, whistles, and were approached by more guys than those dressed in less. Who doesn't love a little attention as a single girl? Lesson learned: Sometimes less ISN'T always more.

Good Thing They Can Sing.

I don't think there is an album I wouldn't buy from this season's American Idol Top 10 group. I instantly fell in love with Danny in auditions then my love starting spreading like wildfire and now I burn for Anoop Dogg, Scott, Kris and Matt. I was in like with Adam at the beginning of the season and after the "Tracks of My Tears" performace I wanted to tape his poster to my ceiling! Last night Adam melted me once again!

Now if only the contestants could dress as well as they sing...

Bright Smiles

What can we control when the economy is spiraling out of control? Fashion.
Bold brights are just the sort of "pick me up's" we need during an economic recession. Cool corals, fantastic fuschias, and yummy yellows are simple solutions to make any woman and her wardrobe smile. The new Ashton tee is my anti-depressant this spring. What's your fashion fix?
